Bring a hot Latin night to your Labor Day weekend with “Rhapsody in Latin Jazz: Featuring Jeremy Franklin Goodman and his Big Band.” This 80-minute concert features original Latin jazz music ranging from energetic sambas to sizzling mambos, cha-cha-chas, and salsa tunes to mellow Brazilian Bossa novas. Whether smooth and peaceful or smoking hot and spicy, the fun melodies, exciting rhythms, and hip grooves will make you want to stand up and dance. Prepare to be transported from the Poconos to the beaches of Rio de Janeiro or the dance floor at the Copacabana. Pianist, composer, conductor, music director Goodman will be joined by nine musicians playing horns, winds, and Latin percussion instruments. In addition to original compositions, special arrangements of well-known classical pieces will be featured on the program, including an exciting Latin rendition of George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.” This exhilarating show is one night only, so grab your tickets today!
